statement of faith

Triune God: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
We believe in one God Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one” (Deuteronomy 6:4, NIV), eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1-3.

Jesus Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity. He was born of a virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit. He walked the earth sinless, was crucified on the cross for our sins, died, and rose from the dead so that whoever places their faith in Christ and repents of their sin will be saved. Luke 1:35; Romans 1:4.

Jesus Christ: Death, Resurrection, Return

We affirm our belief in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was crucified and has now been glorified. Additionally, we uphold our faith in His bodily ascension into heaven, His continuing role as our High Priest and Advocate, His active involvement in establishing His Church, and His eventual bodily return. Luke 24:36-43; John 20:24-29; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Hebrews 8:1; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 8:34; Matthew 16:18-19.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, already active in verse two of Genesis chapter one. He is the comforter, resides in the believer, and is the agent of inspiration and the new birth. Lastly, He convicts the world of sin. We believe that those who repent and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, trusting in Him alone for eternal salvation, are born again through the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God. Believers are indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit, and as a result, they are secure until the day of Christ’s return. Genesis 1:1-3; 2 Corinthians 1:22; John 1:12-13; 3:3-16; 2 Corinthians 1:22; John 10:28-29.

The Holy Bible

We believe the Bible claims to be the inspired, inerrant, infallible and final revelation of God. The Bible is God-breathed, inerrant in the originals, and authoritative in all matters. The teaching of the Holy Spirit helps the believer understand the Scriptures. 2 Timothy 3:16; Numbers 23:19; John 14:26.

Creation and Fall of Mankind

We believe that God created male and female in His image, Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve sinned and consequently sinned leading to physical and spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God. As a result, sin and death were inherited by every individual from birth, demonstrated through willful acts of sin. In His mercy, God provided Jesus Christ as the atonement so that we might escape the impending wrath of God and secure eternal life in His kingdom. Genesis 1; Genesis 3; Romans 5:12.

The Church

We believe the Church is the Body and Bride of Jesus Christ. The Church is responsible for glorifying God by spreading the gospel’s message worldwide and following the Lord’s directive to make disciples among all nations. 2 Corinthians 11:2; Matthew 28:18-20.

Jesus Christ’s Return

We believe in the joyful anticipation of our Lord Jesus Christ’s imminent return. The Bible tells us that He will first gather His believers to Himself in the air before the final seven-year tribulation period and then return with them to establish His reign on the earth. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 5:1-10; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; Daniel 7:13-14; 9:27; Revelation 20:1-3.
